I'm new to this Forum, so I hope I'm posting this question in the correct section.
i have a laptop running windows 10. I do not normally use SQL, but I had reason to convert an MS-Access database, so I needed to install SQL, convert the database and then uninstall SQL. When i now click on any jpg file to open it, I get an error message "database disk image is malformed".
As this only occurred after the install/uninstall, I'm guessing that the problem is somehow connected to that action. I've tried to Google the error, but all references to it suggest it is related to SQL in some way and all the suggested solutions seem to be dependent upon SQL being installed.
I'm not really familiar with SQL, but as far as I'm aware, all traces of SQL have now been removed from my pc. So, has the SQL installation left behind some trace or maybe it's screwed up a setting in Windows ? Has anybody got a suggestion of how to fix this ?
thanks, Keith
