What is the power shell in Windows 10?

Why and where we need to use the power shell, while we already having a command prompt?

Please share your opinion

PowerShell is the replacement for Command Prompt. You can have either in the right-click menu of the Start button by a setting change but PowerShell has been the default on all the Win10 computers I've worked with. Settings on the Start button is the replacement for Control Panel although CP is still available but with a bit less features than in older Windows.
