I need to annotate some pictures that I'm attaching to an email. I want to be able to draw arrows or put text boxes on the pictures to note dimensions, etc. Does anyone know of any software that will work. I tried Windows Paint, but that doesn't work very well at all. Thank you.

What problem did you have with Paint? It does all that you have suggested.

Thanks davidhk129. To davehc...I couldn't get a straight line in Paint. Not saying it doesn't work, it just doesn't work for me.

Dave: I visit plants and take pictures of their existing equipment along with measurements. I then write up a report and send in to my principal along with the pictures. I would like to be able to draw arrows or lines and then mark the measurement on them. I downloaded the free version of Picpick and drew a line across like I wanted, but wasn't smart enough to figure out how to put a text box on the line with the measurement. Maybe it's just me???? Appreciate any help you can offer. Regards,

At the "ribbon", click Text.
Then you use the cursor to draw a box in which you type your message.
