SOLVED Errorcode 0x8007000d when updating to Anniversary

Downloaded Anniversary OK after freeing the required 20Gb.
Installation started and processed OK.
Stopped with Message Error Code 0x8007000d

I think the error means "Invalid Data" but I am never for sure about the correct definition for those numbers.

Do you show a $Windows.~WS hidden folder in the C partition? Since it is hidden you will need to set the view options to show hidden folders.

If you do, there are some log files you might be able to get some information from. Setupact.log is a listing of the install and has percentages you can follow. Setuperr.log is a listing of the errors which show up in Setupact.log. Just use Notepad to view them.

Problem solved by reading thread started by PerRøen and answered by Viktor_R:
"net stop wuauserv" followed by "net start wuauserv" run from command line as administrator, followed by reloading
the Upgrade Assistant
