Likes

Can someone point me in the right direction to find how to leave a "likes" for a member. In my responses I have thanked the member(s) who provided the best help for the problems I have posted, but just saw the "likes" on some members avatars and don't know if it is a "like" for the member or someone "liking" a thread. Newbies, don't you just love'm. By the by, I tried the search feature, but didn't find what I want.
