I am trying to help someone with a Dell Inspiron One 2330 (2013).
Dual-boot: Win10 & Ubuntu on the same HDD.
Unfortunately for many years Ubuntu was not used, eventually it became unaccessible. I guess due to the Windows updates.
We booted from a live Linux Mint USB drive. But when we wanted to reboot and load Windows 10 again, it was no where to be found.
It helped to switch to the UEFI Legacy mode while I was in BIOS. This way I was able to see "Internal HDD devices", I have it as the 1st Boot device. But when I rebooted I got this: "Reboot and select proper boot device or select boot media in selected boot device and press a key".
Then I rebooted and pressed delete to access the menu, and chose: "Hard Disk" under Legacy Boot. But then I got: A black screen with a blinking underscore at the upper-left corner not printing any text. It's been like that for over 20 minutes now.
I am guessing that the boot entry for Windows got corrupt.
What do you guys suggest to do now?
Thanks in advance!
