Hi! I moved the SSD from my old laptop to a newer laptop (gen4 to gen6), on which I installed Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC (I think it's customized) because I have some applications that I don't have access to reinstall.
Windows opens, but I can't install the drivers (the driver setup gives an error at some point, Hp Support assist doesn't install, and if I try to manually enter them I get the message: One of the installers for this device cannot perform the installation at this time windows 10.
windows encountered a problem installing the driver windows 10 enterprise)

reinstalling windows and generating a new regedit file is not a solution.

if I want to install any other application it works (for example totalcmd)
everything related to drivers and driver setup doesn't work..

I tend to think that something is modified in windows to not allow the installation of other drivers..but I can't identify what..

I would appreciate your help

I would recommend that if possible place the ssd back in your old computer. Buy a new ssd that is faster such as the Samsung 870 evo if it’s a sata drive or if it’s an m.2 the Samsung 990 evo. Then use the old laptop to create a windows installation media. Install windows and use your old product key or Microsoft account to register your new pc and voila a new pc. If you really can’t afford a new ssd than the timetec ssds are very affordable but not as high quality.

Now since you cannot do that I would put the hard drive back in the working pc and backup everything. I would also create an iso file of your hard drive. Once your pc is backed up I would wipe that hard rice (once again backup everything make sure you have a standard backup and an iso backup before wiping your hard drive) then reinstall windows (fresh install is always the best) after that load it up and go to backup and restore. Select restore from iso and select the iso. Once completed your pc will be exactly the same with all apps, files, settings… and it should be built on a fresh install with correct drivers. If that does not work I would still buy a new harddrive and try cloning your old one to the new one.

In the event none of the above is possible I would open an elevated command prompt(search cmd and right click on it and select run as admin) then once open type:
“sfc /scannow”
