If your drive is identified in the Explorer view, you could try running chkdsk on that USB drive:
Depress the Windows key (hold) + X , then click Command Prompt (Admin).
At the Command Prompt, type the following, chkdsk /X (where X is the drive letter), then press ENTER
If your disk does not show in Explorer, does it show in Disk Management?
If so, you may be able to use the "clean" command in Diskpart:

Note: Using the clean command will erase all data stored on your USB drive
