After upgrading from Windows 8.0 to Windows 10 I noticed in the "ThisPC" folder
that the C: drive was designated as "Windows8_OS".
The upgrade went smooth and the system is activated as Windows 10. I imagine the OS drive
should be Windows 10 and not Windows 8.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Woody

Can you post a screen shot of that please?

bassfisher6522, When I open "File Explorer" I get the following :

Quick access
One Drive
This PC
Network
Homegroup

When I open "This PC" I get :
Desktop
Documents
Downloads
Music
Pictures
Videos
Windows8_OS ( C: ) This does not seem correct.

System shows Windows 10 Home installed and activated.
Settings - Update and security - Activation, shows the same.
Thanks, Woody

If you chose the straight forward upgrade, then, I believe the upgrade will have used the same folder, with the same Title. I cannot be sure of this, as I do not have an upgraded OS to hand at this moment. Maybe Bassfisher can confirm that.

You can, by right clicking the folder, rename it of course.

open up cmd prompt as admin and type in "winver" with out the quotes and what do you get.

You can rename the C drive to windows 10 Home by right clicking the C drive and select rename. If you in fact have windows 10 installed.

You can also change how file explorer opens....personally I don't like the "Quick Access" view so I changed mine to to the "This PC" view.

To do this; open up file explorer, click the arrow at far right to show ribbon, select view, select options, select change folder and search options, click tab next to {Open File Explorer to:} and change it from Quick Access to This PC. Apply and OK to save changes.
