Windows Update made several things not function in new PC with W10 Pro

I am working on an HP laptop for a friend. The F2/F12 does not show on the BIOS boot screen in UEFI mode either. Just for grins I switched it over to legacy and F2/F12 does show up on screen. Just figured I'd toss that out there since it was a different brand laptop. Maybe Dell is right and it is a UEFI BIOS thing. Who knows. Now I have to get to work and replace the hdd in this thing.

For Saltgrass, no I haven't been offered the infamous 1809 build.

It's nice to know other makes of PCs show the same thing in UEFI Secure Boot.
