System Administration with PowerShell?

So in an effort to jump start my career again in IT I noticed that PS (Power Shell) seems to have taken off.

Is anyone here using automation for administrative tasks?

My setup is a bit different that the "Typical System", I use Linux Arch with Windows 10 running in a VirtualBox virtual machine.
So the PS command will be running from Linux to Windows VM's (for practise).
