:) Greetings Geniuses.

I have a folder on my laptop that I wish to delete however when I try to I get this no authority error message. Any ideas on how I can wipe it out, are there any apps out there that could do the job for me? Details: Win 10, I'm the only one who uses my laptop and I'm a bit desperate.

Thanks in advance!

Run this registry file. Agree to the couple of short questions. When complete, right click the file you wish to delete. You will now see an option "Take ownership".
Click that. Now see if you can delete the file

I have included the reg to remove the entry again, should you wish

Can we assume the folder is not essential for Windows?

Nothing is using anything in the folder, like explorer?

Yes , Good idea from Saltgrass! Perhaps you could tell us the name of the folder?

Hold that - I see you have marked it solved?
