Craftsmanship Yes!
Each piece of the clock mechanism would have had a to have had a pattern crafted in wood by skilled Pattern Makers so the foundry could create the sand molds for the forgery. The skills that these craftsmen performed were not taught in school, but handed down for generations from Father to Son, that's what amazes me.
