I have a bought new HP paviion 15ac laptop with Windows 10 home, with Synaptics Touchpad with driver version 19.2.4.0.
In the driver settings, there is an option to assign settings for the 2 finger tap. But 3 finger tap cannot be configured to use any other button except Launching Cortana.
I really want to assign the 3 finger tap action to work as Middle mouse click, instead of Cortana.
Please guide me, how can this be done??

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Not all existing laptops that have been updated to Windows 10 will be able to use these gestures. More modern Windows 10 devices should be capable of doing so.

Technically, this requires a “Precision Touchpad.” You can check if your PC has a precision touchpad by opening the Settings app, selecting Devices, and selecting “Mouse & touchpad.” You’ll see the line “Your PC has a precision touchpad” under the “Touchpad” heading here if it does.
