Error 0x80070057 When Trimming Videos on External Hard Drive

I recently moved my video clipping software folder to my external hard drive, but now I can't trim videos anymore. I get the error code 0x80070057. I've tried repairing and resetting the Movies & TV app, Clipchamp, and the Photos app, but none of these solutions worked. Before moving the folder, I could trim videos using the Movies & TV app. Now, both old and new videos can't be edited through the trim option, although trimming still works in Clipchamp. Are there any fixes for this issue?
