I don't know when Microsoft started with this, but I did not had this problem with Windows 7 and earlier versions of Windows.

The problem is, when I do any file handling in Explorer, the file handling is only visible after switching to another directory.
Example 1: I rename file "a" to newname "b".
The changes are not visible until I switch to an other directory and then switch back to the current directory.

Example 2: I rename 1 or more file(s) "a" to newname "b".
The renamed files are not sorted according to their new name.
In order to view them sorted out, I need to switch to an other directory and back.

These are only 2 examples, but the Explorer in Windows 10 is a real P.I.t.A.

Is this an upgraded OS.....example; 7 to 10? If so, that is mostly the problem as the file structure sometimes gets dorked up with OS upgrade using the upgrade path.

When adding a new file to any folder it tends to end up at the bottom of the list of files. Changing to a different folder and back or sometimes clicking a column heading like Name to change the lineup then clicking again to set it back will put the new file in the correct place. Any of the column headings should also do it. I think it is part of the Indexing by File Explorer [renamed from Windows Explorer in previous versions of Windows].
