While playing games recently, my PC has crashed multiple times. After checking the reliability history, I see that Microsoft GameInput successfully reconfigures at the exact same time the PC crashes, creating a critical event notice of Windows not shutting down correctly. I've looked online and found only temporary fixes that get overturned by the next update, but these are all old. Is there now any way to stop GameInput from reconfiguring, or a new way to get rid of GameInput permanently?
