I have a 64-bit operating system x 64-bit based processor.
My Windows 10 laptop is set to automatically download and install updates, but for the last couple of days I've had four Microsoft 32-bit updates which tell me they are ready to be downloaded...My question is - Do I need to download and install these 32-bit updates on my 64-bit laptop?
updates are..KB3114999 (Microsoft Office 2010)
KB3114989 (Microsoft Office 2010)
KB3114996 (Outlook 2010)
KB3114867 (Power Point 2010)
I would appreciate any advice please.

I guess you are running Office 2010. These look like valid updates for Office 2010 with Service pack 2.

It is quite likely that you have a 32 bit version of Office.

Try this, Ann. Go to Cortana and type "System Restore." Set a Restore Point, and then install them.

Thank you Tim, you've solved my problem, I need to install Microsoft Office 2010 Service pack 2 before these updates will install...Many thanks.

I'm not sure I understand. If you don't currently have SP2 installed, those updates (if they require SP2 be installed) shouldn't have shown.

I don't understand it either, as these updates have just installed themselves after lying idle on my computer for the last four days! It's very curious as this has never happened before, as all my previous Microsoft Office updates have been automatically installed without any problem Thankfully all's well again now ...evidently just a gliche!
