Trouble with keyboard repeat future

In the control panel I found the keyboard app, Set speed to medium ( In slider)
Pressed apply and ok
But nothing happens, I have to press key or arrow 1 click at a time.
I would like it to move if I hold the key down.
Can anyone help?

You may have sticky keys or filter keys enabled George, to check this you can search the start menu for 'ease of access keyboard'.
The shortcuts are to press the right shift key 5 times (sticky keys) or press and hold the right shift key for 10 seconds (filter keys)

Thanks for the hint.
I typed in "ease o faccess keyboard" in taskbar then switched
the sticky and filter key settings.
It worked
