How does one officially get out of this. I no longer have the time nor the inclination to continue being a lab rat for MS. It was fun while it lasted but I would just like to stop.

to opt out of the Insider Program :
goto Settings, Update & Security, Windows Update,
Advanced Options,
Get Insider Preview - Stop Insider Preview Builds

should you wish to rejoin later, follow the above & select - Get Started

I do suspect that if you do this with 10586.29 you might still get all the regular updates but no insider stuff forever.

Yes I have done that already, I may want to opt back in later in the Spring.

I do suspect that if you do this with 10586.29

I had an update earlier today that took me from 10586.29 to 10586.36
