SOLVED 2004, Edge, chromium engine, Vertical tabs...

Exploring Edge. trying to put vertical tabs on it, says I need/have chromium engine on it, says to look at about to get update. there is no about. Do I need to install a whole new Edge? can't find way to find version or release of it.

EDIT: Yes, I just installed the latest version of Edge.

Click the three dots on the upper right to bring down the settings menu. Go down to Help and feedback, and select About Microsoft Edge. It will look for an update there. You need version 87 to take advantage of vertical tabs, and from what I read, it's only available on Edge Canary, which is a developmental beta version. And even there it's a hidden feature. You'd probably be better off waiting for it to be released in the next version.
