Using Windows 10 64-bits version with standard applications, no funny software.
When I call the search box via, for example, the magnifier icon on the taskbar, I am not able to type anything in the search field.
Using Windows key + R I can use that box for commands.
I checked "services" and Windows Search is enabled, automatic start and gives status: " being executed".
Restarting and going back to a earlier restore point does not solve the problem.
