Can't reduce the size of the task bar icons.

I can't reduce the size of the task bar icons.

is was very ease on previous updates, but now I find no way.

following suggestion from:

I created a MinWidth register and adjusted the value from 64 to many other figures but icon remains same size

I am not in favour of making registry changes, as in the link.
But, have you tried right clicking the taskbar - Taskbar settings, and "use small taskbar buttons"?
