Can't send attachments with Outlook emails under Windows 10

Hi.

Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10, I have been unable to send email attachments with Outlook. The steps for selecting the file to be attached are clear and I have followed them repeatedly, but no file is ever attached to my email. This is, as you can imagine, EXTREMELY frustrating. Can anybody shed any light on this phenomenon?

If you are referring to just something like Outlook 2013, I have not seen that problem.

If other items might be involved, such as also using live mail or another version of Outlook, perhaps giving those details would help someone see the problem.

Is it a specific type of file? Are you attaching it inline?
