Computer boots to spinning circle only

Tje computer boots past the initial screen, and spinning circle comes up and just goes around and aroung for hours. Will not boot to desktop. Wish Microsoft would change this action, because it does not tell you anything thats going on.

Hi Jack,

Are you able to boot to safe mode at all? Perhaps by using your installation media (CD/DVD or USB) or F8 on boot (if you're using a non UEFI PC). Sometimes after a couple of failed boots, you will enter the recovery menu automatically.
