Dual monitors

I can't get an image on my laptop to display on one monitor in landscape and the other in portrait. the other monitor turns to portrait.

Monitors are separate from the built-in display panel on Notebooks/Laptops. Some monitors have their own adjustment to show as Portrait [check its Menu] but that shouldn't affect the panel on the computer. It's been awhile since I've seen a monitor set as Portrait, was used by a newspaper publisher for their lay-up desk. There even was a monitor made a number of years ago that could be rotated 90º to accomplish it.
