Various malfunctions are plaguing my x32Win10ProV22H2 PC. Firefox is either very slow or won't open websites at all, although Chrome is quite OK; Batchfiles open a CMD window then hang; Avast unceasingly warns me about an 'e-Mail' threat that it has blocked - I allow it to quarantine it, but moments later Avast repeats the alert. I have run Malwarebytes Antimalware, which at first found two threats that I allowed it to quarantine; a second scan reported no threats despite the malfunctions listed above. Over the years, that Avast phenomenon has come and gone several times, but this time it persists. How can I restore normality ?
