Worried about Malware and .NET 8.0 Installation

Hello,

Two months ago, I helped a friend with his .NET 8.0 console application project. After discovering his PC was infected with malware, I decided to reset my own system for safety.
Now, I want to download .NET 8.0 (Visual Studio) for coding practice. After installing it, I started worrying that using .NET 8.0 again might reactivate the virus/malware, so I uninstalled it.
Do you think I should be concerned about installing .NET 8.0 again? I have ESET on my PC, which didn't find anything after the installation, but I uninstalled .NET 8.0 just to be safe.
