I'm using Windows 10 Home on my laptop and trying to connect my Android mobile via USB. Although I hear the connection sound and enable file transfer on the mobile device, it does not appear in Windows Explorer.

I attempted to update the driver by selecting my device under "Other Devices," but the process failed with the following error:
"Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them. MTP USB Device. The system cannot find the file specified."

I've tried basic troubleshooting steps such as restarting both the laptop and mobile, using different USB cables, and checking other external devices. Despite enabling file transfer on the mobile, it still does not show up.

It usually shows up between the C:\ drive and "My PC" and does not have a drive letter
