I have noticed in device manager that the pci simple communications controller is not working.
Everything except the rear mike socket on my HP P.C is working fine.
This seems to be the driver do i need it as everything else is fine

Generally that is with the chipset driver. Once you installed 10, did you go to HP's website for you model number and download all the necessary 10 drivers.

No i just installed W10 and didn't notice this was missing until yesterday as everything seems to be working.
As everything seems to be working do i really need to worry about it.

Yes.....very important to have the correct OS version of drivers installed for proper operation.

There you go...it's not supported for windows 10. As such, it would be advised to go back you your previous OS.

Note: As an alternative, you could find the chipset driver for windows 8/8.1, download it, install it in compatibility mode. Sometimes this will work.

If its not supported in W10 is it important to have it as everything is working fine the only thing that's not is the PC rear mike socket which i don't need as i have a U S B web cam with mike. ;)

Looking into this a bit further i now think this is a folder left over when i did the upgrade from W 7 to W10.
And this folder is no longer used in W10
So i will mark this as solved.
Many thanks. :)
