SOLVED Permissions on folder: I'm owner..can't delete... why?

Issue: I cannot delete a folder under 'Documents'.
I'm in administrators group, UAC is lowest possible setting, I am the OWNER of said folder..
Yet I get: "You'll need to provide administrator permission to delete this folder"
Did I miss something?

dunno why, but it let me delete files/folders starting from a lower level, and working my way up to the top level folder, which deleted without complaint..

hmm
