Question about formatting

I have a Dell Windows 10 laptop.

Is it possible to reformat the hard drive, without removing the disk from the laptop?

Yes. Right click the start menu icon -Click Disk management. Select format.
Nb; If you format the operating system, it will need a reinstall of Windows with bootable material. (USB.DVD) - Not sure, but I doubt it will even allow the format under those circumstances.
