Hello,
Great Forum and folks.

Sr.Citizen now, so please put up with what is
probaly a poortly asked question.

Not sure if I am running W10 or W11
Have a few year old HP Desktop. Think it's called a "Pavillion".

Lately, not all the time, but often, a random character starts filling up
places/windows in several different unrelated programs where one would put other information.
Character is always a rectangular bracket.

Not the keyboard apparently, as I tried two different ones, with the same effect.
Tried both wired and the non-wired types.
Mouse is un-wired (called Bluetooth ?)

When not happening, everything works perfectly.
Truly seems random.

Might it be electrical noise or interference that triggers this happening ?
Or, "something" is likely going bad with pc ?

Would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Thanks,
Bob

This could be a heat related problem, when the PC is on for a long time the fault starts.
Possible issues:
1/ Dust in the PC case causing fans and cooling to be ineffective.
2/ Video RAM (Random access Memory) to be faulty.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I would need more information.
