Screen Fades

I have an Acer laptop with windows 10. When my battery gets low and I plug in, the screen goes so dark that I can't see it. When I unplug the screen comes back. Can anyone help? Thanks

Check your power options settings...............

At the search bar next to Start button, type power options > at the popup box, click Power Options > left side, click Choose when to turn off display > right side, under Plug In, where the slider is positioned at ? Is it too far to the left ? If yes, move the slider towards the right > click Save changes.
