Screen Saver setting will not stay

When I set the screen saver to what I want, it works just fine as long as I leave the computer running. However, if I shut down the computer and bring it back at some later time, the screen saver will not work. Otto

same issue here as well. i set it yesterday for 10 or 15 minutes and then it works. I shut down the computer and turn it on today and it will not turn on at the time i set it yesterday. I go into personalization and it shows it at 1 minute but yet does not come on at all until i set it again.

Sorry this isn't a reply, but a question...this is evidently an issue for many people, for almost a year....so why hasn't it been addressed/fixed by whoever? Or don't they look at these forums??

I read an interesting article "howtogeeks" on Screen savers.
In a nutshell, screen savers are old technology designed primarily for the old CRT monitors to prevent burn-in. If you have an LCD monitor, adjust the settings to turn the monitor off.

Actually it works now for about 3 months ago.
