I thought W7 was slow to boot, about 2 and a half minutes, but W10 is even longer, over 3 minutes.
W7 shut down fairly quickly, but W10 is taking as long, if not longer, than it does to start up.
Is it just me or are there others having the same problem?

Wow. Mine boots in 34 seconds with a mechanical hdd. It beats the ssd in my tablet, running Windows 7 by almost 10 seconds.

OK, so what are the differences between our systems?
I built my original machine nearly 5 years ago.
It has an SSD for the C drive so should be quick on that score.
There are another 5 internal, mechanical hard disks.
It has 12GB of RAM.
I installed W7 Pro 64 bit from the outset.
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UDR3 Motherboard
Intel core i7 950 processor (good for its day)
W10 installed via free upgrade offer from MS.

omg... I would be happy with anything you guys are experiencing with regard to bootup times! My system is taking anywhere from 2-4+ HOURS to boot! I've tried everything I can possibly think of to find out why. I've tried the following:
SFC /Scannow - errors found and fixed, but no change to bootup time.
SFCFix - no errors found
SFC / Scannow after running SFCFix - no errors found - results pasted below

SFCFix version 2.4.5.0 by niemiro.

I have tried turning OFF fast startup - no change to boot time
I have tried turning ON fast startup - no change to boot time

I have NOT tried messing with the registry - only because I have not been able to find a cause for the slow boot yet. If I can at least find a cause, if it's something I can fiddle with in the registry that I'm sure would make a difference, then I would do that, but so far I have not been able to find a cause for the slow bootup.

I am attaching screenshots of:
My OS Version
The System Integrity & Repair that I ran - and got an error on
My computer information (type of system I have)
The most recent Win10 update that was installed - about a week ago, after which is when several things began happening, slow boot was one of them. The other issues I was having are that the User Accounts were not showing up on the login screen - fixed.

In addition to the slow bootup problem, I'm also having a problem with the PIN option not showing on the login screen - there are also no Sign-In Options under Account in Settings. I've posted this problem in another thread on this topic. Hopefully someone will be able to help me resolve these issues. It's rather frustrating as I have been working on these problems since a couple days after the last update.

***EDIT: I just had a thought after I posted this. Is it possible that somehow a POLICY got changed somewhere in the update process? It's the only thing I haven't checked because I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Just a thought, but it would make sense with regard to the PIN Login Option not showing up on the Login screen, right? ***

Thanks in advance for any help.
