An interesting read - it's funny looking back on the MS of 18 years ago (~year 2000) when he joined. Their business has changed so much in a relatively short space of time. I suspect the end user will see little difference, as the trajectory is already familiar - more cloud, faster/more responsive updates, more integration, less "ownership" - now there's just the organisations to match.

MS do see to chop and change very readily (Windows Mobile, remember that? ) - maybe this is why they've done so well, but it can be very frustrating as a customer.
