The task bar search pop up

This Windows 10 search bar window is making me crazy. It pops up about every two minutes while I'm working and I have to "click" to make it disappear not just type a key. Is anyone else having an issue? Do you know how to delete or disable it? I removed the search bar from the task bar and still it's offering to search my files. I actually uninstalled Windows 10 and went back to Windows 8.1 until I get a fix. Can you help me?

Have you tried updating the touch-pad driver?
