What happened to my C drive?

Lately my files and folders in C drive appear like this.
Would you please help me how to solve the problem

Above them at the right corner, what is that sign?

Supposedly, it signifies file or folder compression. Right-click one of the files or folders, click "Properties", then "Advanced" to see if this is what has happened.

I unchecked "Compress content to save disk space" option and it worked
