Win 10 taskbar safely remove hardware flag doesn't pop up.

When trying to remove a device by clicking on the safely remove device and eject media icon in the task bar the flag that said it is now safe to remove the hardware no longer appears. Although the device appears to be disconnected.

Had the same problem myself, I found this which fixed it for me.
• Press keyboard "win + R"
• Type "regedit"
• Search the value "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notification\Settings\Microsoft.Explorer.Notification.{...}"
• If you REG_DWORD 0x00000001(0) set "0" you can double click on value. Set the value data to "1"
• Click "OK"
