Windows 10 Downloading

Received notification windows 10 is downloading in the back ground and will notify me when ready to start upgrade also it also gives me the option to check down load progress when I Click on this panel it just closes down the window with nothing showing anywhere. I have had this notification for some 10 hours now any one any ideas on what to do next.
