Windows 10 Gray Screen after sleep mode

So i just installed Auto desk inventor on my Dell Laptop with windows 10, and now if the computer goes into sleep mode and wakes up the screen in gray, but if i plug in a external display i can view the screen. the only way to get the screen to go away is a restart with the power button. I have reinstalled all graphics drivers, uninstalled autodesk and done virus scans, all did not fix the problem. Any suggestions?

The Dell Inspiron 15 7567 are having problems with grey screens when waking from sleep. There are several threads on this on the Dell laptop community.

I don't remember any of them mentioning any specific software being involved.
