Hi all,

Getting the message 'Some of your settings are managed by Group Policy'

and also,

'Some of your settings are managed by the System Administrator'.

They appear in Windows Firewall and Control Panel respectively.

The computer in question is accessed via an Administrator account and it does not have Group policy installed. It is not connected to a network beyond the single Router with no other devices attached.

Any ideas what's going on and how to fix this? How did the offending parties gain access in the first place? How can I ensure they don't reconfigure the system again and how can I reverse their access?

Appreciated.

I think those messages are a long standing bug in Windows 10. They appear and disappear. If I had to debug it I'd first be looking for a problem with an uninitialized variable somewhere in the computer administration stuff.

Had the same problem on my Laptop. Metered connection was inadvertently checked.
