Windows Photo Viewer won't open my pictures

I just upgraded my Windows to Windows 10, but when I tried to go to my old photos in my Windows Photo Viewer, it would say, "Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because the file appears to be corrupted, damaged, or it is too large." I dont know what to do.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
As a test, can you open the folder containing one of these problem images and right click one and from the context menu "Open with" choose "Paint"
