After the latest upgrade my laptop now starts with a power shell screen which just sits there doing nothing and when I click on it, it gives me a not responding error. If I open task manager it takes about 2 min to open and then it shows me that disk usage is at 100%. The laptop is almost impossible to use as it takes forever for any program to load and/or to complete any commands.

Classic symptom of a failing hard drive. It hasn't completely died yet, but it's demise is imminent. Replace the drive ASAP.
