2 month old HP laptop touchpad cursor freezes and clicks dont work

Hello, Not sure if drivers is the right forum. Windows 10 Home already installed, 62 bit
As I'm working the cursor freezes every 10 seconds and lasts for up to 30 seconds. About to throw this laptop out the window its so frustrating. Plus, clicking on buttons do not work at times maybe 1 or 2 times an hour. I have upgraded the Synaptics driver. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you,

Still in Safe Mode, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up 'Mice and other Pointing Devices'. Right click your touchpad device and select Properties. Click the Driver tab and then click the 'Roll Back Driver' button. Wait for this process to complete and then restart Windows to boot normally. See if this has helped the issue.
