Cannot get slideshow for background images

I have a folder of photos selected for my background image slideshow. Sometimes one of the images will show, other times nothing shows. I have tried it with image change periods of one hour and for six hours. It just does not work as advertised.

what version of Windows 10 do you have?, version 1809 is now available (some might say wait), if you have an older version of Win10, have you done all your updates?.

Windows version 10.0.17134. Updates are automatic,so I should be up to date.

I am running version 17763.55 which is Win10 1809, you have an older version, wait until 1809 is available again and you should be good to go.

1809 was pulled because of a few problems like the following:
