Can't Do Anything With Blank Screen Under Hibernation

Someone please help me.
I accidentally hit hibernation button last night. Woke up this morning and the computer will start up but that's it. There's only blank screen. And I can hear the computer on. I also see the power light on from the power button and the plug into the computer.
I'm going crazy. Does anybody out there know what's going on?

Have you tried removing the AC power from the wall and then holding the Start Button for 30 seconds or so.
That might do the trick.
Hopefully you won't need to go inside to remove the CMOS battery as well, as that can be a bit more complicated.
