Cortana not working

Welcome to the forums Dave :). You're going to need to give us a little more information so that we can help out. Is this a fresh install or upgrade of Windows 10? Has Cortana ever worked? What happens when you try to use it - are there errors?

Was upgrade, never worked, got to settings, options for Cortana not there.

Do you have avast antivirus installed? uninstalled the software and upon reboot cortana may working perfectly again.
