Before doing anything, I strongly recommend creating a Disk Image of your current install

Looks like the LaserJet 1010 might work, since it has a list of 8.1 and later drivers

Not looking good for the scanner though

The latest drivers I see available for that scanner from Canon is for Vista (32 and 64 bit) which probably work fine with Windows 7, but may not with Windows 10.
Unfortunately there isn't a very good upgrade advisor available for a Windows 10 upgrade, the native one inside the GWX app is kinda lame
http://www.intowindows.com/download-windows-10-upgrade-advisor/ but I guess you could see what it has to say about your hardware.
You could run the 8.1 upgrade assistant and see what that has to say http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-assistant-download-online-faq
It might be helpful.

Hello Malcy,

Just checked both HP and Cannon site for the products that you listed. Unfortunately, both do not have any drivers for Windows 10 OS. However, there is a slight possibility that they may work with the generic drivers supplied within Windows 10. Again, the possibility is less and even if it works, the functionality would be limited.

All the best.

Hi , thanks for that , it seems like I wont get drivers so I shall stay with W7 . I like this scanner as I can copy slides & negatives . I'm not going to scrap a perfectly good piece of equipment .
